Our goal in the kidney community is to educate ourselves and others about the disease, So we can take an active part in the level of their care and managing the outcome. We have a team of different professionals to give sound information in their area of expertise at our monthly support group meetings:
Pharmacist – identifying the importance of taking medicine on time,how and why it’s taken.
Kidney Dietitian – knowing what foods to eat with understanding and what to stay away from
Nutritionist – explaining to you the right foods to eat for the kidney community
Sports Coach- how strengthening the body can help keep body mobile maintaining your kidney function
Social Worker- to assist patient with knowledge of needs and opportunities afforded to them
Kidney Donors – information and instruction on how to be a donor or signing up as a donor
Kidney Recipients– information and instruction on how to find help for resources
Licensed Therapist- mental wellness group discussions- private talks available, sharing and fellowship with others who are dealing with the same issues
