Hear From The Best
Our goal in the kidney community is to educate ourselves and others about kidney disease and
take an active part in managing the level of care and the outcomes. N.B.K.F. has a team of
professionals (below) that give sound information from their area of expertise at our monthly
support group classes/meetings:

Pharmacists – identify the importance of taking medicine on time, and explain how and
why they're taken.

Nutritionists – teach the kidney community about the "right" foods to eat.

Sports Coaches – focus on how strengthening the body can help keep the body mobile; maintaining healthy kidney function.

Social Workers- assist patients with knowledge of needs and opportunities.

Kidney Donors – provide information and instruction on how to be a donor or sign up as a donor.

Kidney Recipients– provide information and instruction on how to find help for resources.
Licensed Therapists- (mental wellness group discussions) lead group discussions while supporting
fellowship with others dealing with the similar/same issues.
